The AA offer both UK and European breakdown cover.

Their breakdown cover can include the following:

• Roadside - they will assit you if you have brokern down more than 1/4 mile from your house.
• Relay - if you breakdown at the roadside and they can't offer a prompt repair, they'll transport you to any mainland UK destination of your choice. 
• Home start - they will help you if you have broken down at home or within 1/4 mile of your home.
• Relay plus - if you break down away from your home and a prompt repair is not possible, they'll provide you with either a replacement car for up to 48 hours, overnight accommodation or reasonable onward travel expenses.

RAC was founded in 1897.
